What people think about Life Game of

Disappointed with changes. I bought this game for my new family for Christmas. This is not at all the Game of Life that I remember playing for countless hours as a child. First of all, my old game had all of the mountains, houses, and spinner permenantly attached to the game board. With the new version, all of these things have to be attached with each setup, which takes about 10-15 minutes and they are easily knocked off the board. Also, the spinner is hard to spin and frequently comes off of its pivot. The cars are less sturdy and the people pegs do not stay in the car so you are constantly having to put the people back in the car. Finally, the rules of the game have gotten more complicated and yet the meaning of the game has become more trivial. I think I will put this in the top of a closet or in a yard sale and go find my old version of the game to play in the future.

A really good game!!. This game was really good. I had nothing to play with and was getting very bored when on a visit with some friends played this. The next time I got bored I thought of getting my parents to buy this. It is a really good game. It gives you good entertainment. Though it might be a bit boring since you have to put up everything neatly. But it is a really good amusement when you are tired. Though it might prove to be not such an admirable playmate when you are being bored.

It is a really good image of american life. You can play with it for hours without feeling like quitting. I am sure you will enjoy this game if you buy it. Have a good time playing with Life Board Game!! :)

Read the Reviews Before You Buy!. I wish that I had read some of the reviews before I purchased this one. We had this game when I was a kid and it was one of my favorites. However, I didn’t realize that they had revised the game.

I find the new format frustrating and empty. There isn’t as much interaction between players in this one (others don’t have to give you money when you get married, have children, etc.), except for the career spots and those detract from the game – they’re pretty pointless and not true to the real world as we know it.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer who found the LIFE cards very annoying. There doesn’t seem to be any hope for the underdog in this version; if you don’t happen to pick a good salary, you won’t win, no matter how many LIFE cards you pick up along the way.

I really wish that they had left the game the way it was! I think we’ll go dig up the old one that my husband’s parents have somewhere. That will be more fun!

Bottom Line: After wanting to own this game for a while, I wish I hadn’t wasted my money. I’ll just find an older used one. One word – disappointing.
