Two years ago, I wrote an article on my blog in which I expressed my thoughts on first reading “Twilight.” I tried to link it, but Amazon wouldn’t let me. Don’t worry, though. I’ll explain–no, wait, there’s too much–I’ll sum up. Let’s just say there’s a fun anecdote in which the moment I read the last word on the last page, I immediately sprang up, grabbed my car keys, and booked it to the nearest store to buy a copy of “New Moon,” the sequel to “Twilight.” In the post I also express a half-awareness of the book’s “guilty pleasure” status, yet I remain shameless (mostly).
And now, two years later, I’ve had time to read the book a couple more times, to see the movie (could have been better, could have been worse), and to distance myself for awhile from the entire phenomenon (as long as I wasn’t within 50 feet of a preteen girl, or the mother of a preteen girl). And I would have to say that my opinion of the novel has not altered fundamentally, though time has given it cultivation and nuance.
You know how there are some books that could be page-turners because they’re such great stories, but you don’t want to read them that fast? They’re so good that you just want to take your time, to soak in the prose and study every detail of the characters. For me, “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” was such a novel, but “Twilight” was not.
Stephenie Meyer has stated on several occasions something to the effect of, she does not consider herself a writer, but a storyteller. I wholeheartedly agree with her. Keeping in mind that “Twilight” was her first novel (and I would imagine speedily written, having rather famously appeared to her in a dream a la Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”), her prose and her characterization do leave something to be desired. But where she is not lacking is in her ability to tell a compelling story–just try to not stay up far later than your intended bed time while reading this book–and to set a mood.
“Twilight” is probably one of the moodiest books I

This GPS mount works perfectly with our Garmin Nuvi. It is very stable on the dashboard and has a ball typle holder that allows you to easily adjust the Nuvi screen up or down and left to right. I especially like the easy yet simple mechanism that allows one to quickly clip the Nuvi to the mount or to take it off. Great product for the price.

Do you really love Network Administration Wireless A ?
This is a wonderful and refreshing book about beliefs; a book that answers many questions about life, enlightenment and creation in an exceptional way.
In an inspiring dialog with God, Neale Donald Walsh shows us a new possibility of being whereby freedom and enlightenment are always with us in the moment.
“Enlightenment is the understanding that you don’t need to go anywhere, don’t have to do anything and don’t need to be anybody except for the Being you are now. Heaven, how you call it, is nowhere; it’s now and It’s here.”
This book is an inspiration for anybody looking for freedom and satisfaction in their lives.
Another book I can recommend from my heart is Working on Yourself Doesn’t Work: The 3 Simple Ideas That Will Instantaneously Transform Your Life
With great humor and compassion these two authors show us a way into the moment, where we can find satisfaction and fulfillment in our modern and busy world.

My experience was not good with this adapter. My G adapter got better reception. good luck. If you have any wireless problems try a Megaplug – it goes through your household wiring – works better than most wireless systems.

I was not impressed with the book. Yes, it is intriguing and well-written. But the “wisdom” is what I would expect an articulate, well-versed liberal arts professor to say. So much of it is what we want to hear, what we want to believe. I felt like Neale created a God that placates people, tells them what they want to hear, tells of the wisdom of this age. I have read and studied several religious texts, from the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, etc. In my studies I came to know that the Bible holds the truth of God – but this is a realization for all of us to have individually with God. I actually picked up CwG before I came to believe in the Bible – and I put it down after I read it thinking that the book was filled with man’s wisdom. I had a course in college that taught the same thing. I was seeking God’s true wisdom and studied Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc.
This book is nothing new, and tells people what they want to hear – not the truth of things. I don’t think God was the one moving Neale’s pen, I believe it was Neale’s own thoughts and wisdom moving his pen.
So, you can choose to listen to God’s truth or Neale’s truth. But this book is clearly full of Neale’s truth. The book takes basic modern-day mysticism tenets and attributes them to God moving Neale’s pen so Neale can enlighten the world.

Is CT1000 Wireless Digital Levana suck?
A.Lin, how far did you want it to go? A quarter mile? A criticism about range without some point of reference is not useful.
I have the IonKids Child Locator which costs about twice as much but has always performed very well for me. It works on the same principle – medium range direct wireless connection (no GPS). It has a more sophisticated tracker screen and one receiver will manage 4 or more transmitters (on 4 or more children). I had the opportunity to test it (the IonKids) with four kids at a museum and it worked pretty well if they all stuck together. They could be a big room or more away and still within maximum range. It has an adjustable range threshold at which it sounds the alarm. Sorry this review is more about the IonKids product but it seemed like these reviews needed a point of reference.
I encourage reviewers to give some kind of specific distance reference when they comment either good or bad. I don’t own this Levana product but it sounds like its range and functionality is commensurate with its price, as compared to the IonKids product. You can find it right here on Amazon.

This is an amazing device. It is just a younger brother of i-phone.
Applications that can run on it are fabulous.
Crazy on Microsoft Wireless 00025 6BA
I bought this mouse for a new netbook (as I generally prefer a mouse to a pad) and it works very well. It fits well in the hand, was a snap to install (just plug it in!) and it was very inexpensive.
