Have used this for almost 9 months. Easy to use, very portable. Works well in almost any vehicle. Stays in place in most vehicles. Only problem was using it in an older car with a very steep dashboard. Hold GPS unit in place and can be moved from one vehicle to another or easy removed and put in glove compartment or hidden on floor unlike suction cups that leave a ring in the windshield even when removed letting potential thieves know you have a GPS.

This would have been a great young adult fiction book. However, the author, for some reason, was really into nasty words and graphic sex. Too bad she took the low road and destroyed her book. I don’t understand all the people who thought it was brilliant – it was just “dirty.” However, it had potential.

Skeeter Phelan, new college grad, wants to become a serious writer. Following the advice of a New York editor, she decides to write about something that bothers her, the treatment given by her mother and friends to their household help. As she begins interviewing the maids, Skeeter opens her mind to the terrible injustices woven into Mississippi society by old Jim Crow. The novel has three narrators, Skeeter herself and two maids, Minny and Aibileen. What evolves are deeply emotional stories about their relationships with each other and with their employers. Fortunately the narratives are sprinkled with humor, because there is so much else about which to feel anger and outrage.
What this novel does well is produce a vivid picture of ordinary life among the elite and underclasses in 1960’s, pre-integration Mississippi. Written in southern vernacular, the attitudes of the day come across loud and clear. Whether this portrayal is accurate or fair, as a lifelong CT yankee, I cannot say for sure. But The Help is an intelligent, engrossing, and thought provoking tale with much to recommend it. If she doesn’t fall prey to second novel syndrome, Kathryn Stockett appears poised to enjoy a successful writing career. One thing’s for sure; I’ll never regard a chocolate cream pie in the same light again!

Okay I’ve had this ipod for 1 day and im totally loving it!! Believe me I was the last person whoever thought they would buy an ipod, but I’m extremely glad I did.
Playback quality: 10 (Its like I can hear and experience songs like I never did previously)
Apps: 10 (There is just so much to choose from, amazing)
Internet: 10 (Excellent speed, the youtube app is great, and I am loving that the ipod plays flash videos.)
Video: 10 (Crisp quality)
Battery life: 11 (It does not take like for the iptouch to charge especially if you have purchased a wall changer. The most it will take to charge fully is about a 30 mins and that is a must especially when you are a heavy listener like me)
Other features: 10 (I especially love the note pad and the microphone feature because I am a student and to carry tons of paper around isn’t the most convenient for me. So I love the fact that I can either record what the lecturer is saying or type little notes to myself on what is going in class. Excellent!!) Plus I love reading the bible so it is really convenient when you get word from the Lord to just say it in the mic and listen back later so that you can contemplate on what he has revealed to you, but it is also lovely to just type scriptures on the note pad function and study anytime your on the go. Oh how great it is not having to carry around all those tons of paper of bible study notes and things that the Lord has revealed to me now I can just have it all in the palm of my hand. My suggestion is to get this itouch you won’t regret it!!!
