Loved this book! The story is told so well. I really enjoyed reading about all of the characters especially how their lives impacted each others. You really feel apart of the Civil Rights Movement. This book doesn’t disappoint.

I had one of those that measured your bmi and all that before this one and hated it…too many buttons and wasn’t accurate. I went simple this time and LOVE this…very accurate too.

I mean, who wouldn’t like diapers delivered right to your door with no shipping. I hope the wait time for these can be reduced. I can’t imagine ordering diapers and waiting 3 to 5 weeks for them to arrive!
My son is 16 months old and wears this size.

Having been an Honors English student in high school, lo, those many years ago, this was on our recommended reading list. I didn’t like Holden Caulfield then. Now, the father of a daughter approaching her teenage years, I like him even less.
I reread the book recently, and the question is the same now as was it twenty five years ago: “This is classic literature?”
While relatively well written, this story has been done to death since time immemorial. And, frankly, promulgates the self absorbed teenage stereotype.
Holden Caulfield is NOT a stereotypical teenager.
Holden Caulfield IS a hypocrite. He IS a narcissist. He IS paranoid. He IS a cynic without the true experience in life to jade him. In short, he is a poseur desparately seeking some self importance to which he is far from entitled.
Although certainly alienated, and just as certainly an intelligent underachiever, he is, at root, a spoiled brat in dire need of having his backside tanned.
While there may be some merit to the idea that there are no bad children, only bad parents, young Master Caulfield bears the greatest responsibility for his situation. His willfully shallow character prevents him from seeing anyone or anything outside himself.
No, this is not “classic literature”. It is not even an accurate portrayal of teenage angst and alienation. It is the story of a puling spoiled rich kid who doesn’t get life his way.
Well, welcome to the world, Young Man, because that’s just the way things are.

hate to drive with my 5 mth old. buying online is a better deal than walmart plus the free shipping definitely made me decide to buy from amazon. they deliver straight to my door and even inside if i am carrying li’l harry. less leak than huggies and luvs. pampers are higher in the tummy area so harry doesn’t wake up as often with leakage.

You could say dirty floors are my pet peeve. With that stated, I also say this vacuum is a great value. I have had this vacuum for about 8 months and now use it as my main push vacuum (I also use a Roomba). It is easy to maneuver, cleans the carpet well, and is lightweight enough to use on stairs. In addition to the Hoover Tempo and Roomba, I also have a 15 year old Hoover WindTunnel which is too heavy for me to use on stairs and a 6 year old Kenmore Elite Canister vacuum (rated a best buy in Consumer Reports when I purchased it) which does not pick up dust and dirt as well as this Hoover Tempo.
I have a lot of tile in my home. The Hoover Tempo tends to sling as much of the dust and dirt as it picks up when I run it on the tile. So I use the Roomba instead.
As a busy mom, I do delegate chores to my kids. Vacuuming is one of the easier chores I delegate. My kids tend to be rough on vacuums. My Kenmore Elite Canister vacuum has been “broken” by my son several times – requiring several hours of repair by a disgruntled husband. This Hoover Tempo however has been used by my kids since we got it and is still working perfectly.
The cord is a little shorter than most and that can be a nuisance. I either change electrical sockets frequently or add and extension cord. Problem solved.
