check the forks!. We bought two bikes (man and woman)bikes… at first we had problems as our feet would hit the front tires on turns while peddling (very dangerous)! Good thing I got on this website and found another reviewer had mentioned the shock absorber forks had been on backwards. We flipped the forks so the brake calipers faced the front of bike. What a difference! the bikes ride fantastic and we are enjoying them!

Awesome Bike. What a deal! What a steal! Only amazon can beat Wal-mart prices with free shipping to boot. Thanks Amazon for coming thru like you do!

So Not waist your cash. This bike was a tremendous waste of time and money. I do not ride often but was looking for something at a moderate price to go riding with my fiancé while camping or around town. The first day I had the bike both peddles broke off. I went out and bought some steel peddles at a bike shop (an additional $40 added to the price of the bike). Replaced the peddles and went for another ride shortly into that ride the breaks stopped working and the handle bar ended up coming loose (to this day I can not get Mongoose Montana Mens Mountain Bike to hold tight) and flipped upside down while I was riding. The seat was extremely uncomfortable and would not clamp tightly into position.

parts were missing. luckily my husband bikes a lot, because this bike didn’t come with any instructions AND was missing parts. he was able to take parts off of an old bike so all is well, but v. annoying. Mongoose Strike Boys BMX Bike was missing the seat post skewer and bolts, as well as both pedals. amazon was nice enough to give us a 20% refund. my daughter’s bike also came without instructions…

mongoose bike. I got this for my 14 year old son for Christmas. It is now the end of August and it has been a good bike for my son. He is a tall kid at 5′10, but he rides this bike every day with no problems. I had no problems with shipping, parts, or instructions.

damaged during shipping- poor replacement options. Bike arrived in a busted up box, missing pieces and damaged. Amazon offered several less than ideal replacement options.

Who knows if the bike is any good. But I have noticed several other customers mentioning that the bikes arrived broken or bent, I just wanted to let you know that trying to get a replacement isnt easy and from the looks of things its going to takes us weeks to get a new bike. Hope its not snowin’.
