Is CT1000 Wireless Digital Levana suck?

A.Lin, how far did you want it to go? A quarter mile? A criticism about range without some point of reference is not useful.

I have the IonKids Child Locator which costs about twice as much but has always performed very well for me. It works on the same principle – medium range direct wireless connection (no GPS). It has a more sophisticated tracker screen and one receiver will manage 4 or more transmitters (on 4 or more children). I had the opportunity to test it (the IonKids) with four kids at a museum and it worked pretty well if they all stuck together. They could be a big room or more away and still within maximum range. It has an adjustable range threshold at which it sounds the alarm. Sorry this review is more about the IonKids product but it seemed like these reviews needed a point of reference.

I encourage reviewers to give some kind of specific distance reference when they comment either good or bad. I don’t own this Levana product but it sounds like its range and functionality is commensurate with its price, as compared to the IonKids product. You can find it right here on Amazon.
