A Heart Like Mine

It was noisy & heavy, which made me discourage to use this cleaner. I returned it immediately.

This product was above expectations for cleaning my carpets. I was experimenting with the attachment hose and through my own fault failed to secure the sliding plastic attachment piece down enough in the collection tank, but the machine worked just great on my stains when I fixed my suction problem. I used a 4 in 1 all purpose cleaner in the machine which is what I used on my hands and knees and found this machine did the job without buying the expensive recommended cleaners. Do a hand and knee sample test first. bleach products can cause additional staining and too many bubbles may ruin your machine so don’t use any detergents that foam up to much; don’t even try dish detergent it will stop this machine like it stops a dishwasher. Hey this is a do-it-yourself machine so if you don’t have a little common sense call a professional. I failed to believe all the reviews about leaks and was glad I did. If I made this Steamvac you’ld never get it for this price.
Heart Gifts

This book was fantastic! I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished. This author is so gifted. Her characters came alive to me. I don’t appreciate coarse language but her use of it didn’t detract from the overall appeal of this book. That being said, I would caution about her taking the Lord’s name in vain through some of her characters;(Christian readers might have a problem with this).
Heart of the Mountain

Wow. Despite the tragedy that frames this book, it’s one of the most wild, roller-coaster, entertaining reads I’ve ever had. It’s the story of families forged in crisis, how people banded together and survived amongst the hurricane’s aftermath in the French Quarter. One of the most memorable characters here is Ride who was the neighborhood’s makeshift medic before the Red Cross or any EMS could get in. He sewed a guy’s ear back on, healed wounded animals, treated gangrene on a woman who swam out of the floodwaters straight to Johnny White’s bar which refused to close for one second. In the second half of the book, as electricity finally returns to their neighborhood, Clark and Ride travel to all the other regions, documenting the human details left after the wind and water, the sediment and sentiment there, in a way far deeper than any news broadcast could ever do. Some of the questions Clark faces: Where does your heart go when you must choose between the first place that ever loved you, and a person you love more than you ever thought was possible? And how do you, against all odds, make it through the hard time with a tear in your eye and a smile on your lips?
This is a must read for every American.

Title says it all… and that’s what 60% of the book is about.
The vampire is handsome.
And just in case we didn’t mention it, the vampire is handsome.

Oh… let’s throw in some action at the end to kinda-sorta have a story…
Please don’t hate me, I read the book, I just didn’t like it so much.
In an ironic twist, the movie was better.

I read this book when it first came out in 2006, lost my copy, so had to buy a new one–now I own 3 copies and I loan it out! The concept of this book is very simple–just opening up our hearts to be more like our Savior. It’s not too complicated! Virginia Pearce presents it in a beautiful, yet entertaining as well as spiritual and profound way. Who wouldn’t want a heart like His?! I feel it’s a “must read” for everyone, then this world would be a much better place!

I have owned my Kindle for 5 months now. I loved reading before but hated carrying a book around that weighed down my purse. With Kindle its light, compact and easy to carry and read anywhere. I have breezed through so many books since I got. I don’t know how I managed w/out it. i recommend it to everyone who enjoys a good read. My husband and I are heading to Australia for vacation in a week. I really am not looking forward to the 28hr flt, but I have three book downloaded ready to keep me entertained. I have also found a lot of free books. The Kindle store book prices are a steal compared to a newly released book at a bookstore. I have really enjoyed reading new genre and entering the worlds of new heroin. I travel for two hours by train everyday and I really don’t notice the commute much anymore. I look forward to it as my down time to curl up with my kindle. I know I am all over the place in this review, but I really am happy with my purchase. The cover for the Kindle are overpriced. That’s the only negative. I used a light old hardcover I cored out the pages so my kinle would fit in it perfectly. No one really even know I have a kindle in it and it cost me $2.00 and some time measuring and coring out the pages. If you do get one, Enjoy. It’s well worth the price if you enjoy reading.
