Columbus no mad
At the time of this review there are over 1,700 reviews posted so I won’t bother to sum up the story but just my opinion of the book.
I thought the book was simple to read, an interesting story and engaging characters.
Even though this novel is not perfect and a standard “boy meets girl” story with a charming setting, the descriptions are colorful and the characters are a variety of misfits; but somehow it all works and comes together very nicely for an entertaining and well paced read.
Granted, the book is not going to be put on a shrine of the scholarly literary Olympus, but to me this book felt as if I was reading a fairytale – and I tremendously enjoyed it.

God’s words, thoughts..meanings are often taken and fitted into holes that would take squares. Many often take one verse and build an entire belief system around it without any sense of context or application.
This book however, goes one better. A better title would be, Talking with Satan…
If there were ever a bastardization of God’s Holy words and their meanings…this book is it.
For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question “Why am I a lesbian?” His answer is that she was ‘born that way’ because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and “celebrate” her differences.
Another girls poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”
His reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong.”
Another question asks about God’s forgiveness of sin. His reply “I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive.. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is “‘judge not lest ye be judged.”
So, as my title ask…Are your ears itching..I take that from the following scripture which warns us of this very thing being offered up as something from God.
2 Timothy 4:3……”For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.”

Man, I really am happy I went ahead and bought this steam cleaner. A trick I learned from the professionals is to BOIL the water before filling the clean water tank and I tell you what… I have a toddler and 2 dogs and LOVE how clean this got my carpets. It’s not a professional machine, and you will have to do a few passes to get it almost perfect, but the one time investment is really going to pay off!!!

This book was ok… a little hard to follow at times, as it went on and on. Would have like to ask more questions of why this or that.

Ruggero Marino’s CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS, THE LAST TEMPLAR asks whether Columbus was a Templar – and according to historic documents and maps, he was. Marino examines Columbus’ sea voyages and reveals the sources of Columbus’ routes and wanderings, consider his studies and the myth that Columbus stumbled on the New World rather than deliberately charting his course.

Why does every book need to be compared to the bible. Whi decides what was in the bible? Vatican Priests thats who. Do you have any idea howe many books were written by Gnostic Christians in eary 100-200 ad thats were left OUT of the new testament? And wasn’t the Vatican Church the same church thats gave the world such great times like the Dark Ages, The Inquisition, and the Crusades? PEOPLE decided what was to be put in the Bible not God. An isn’t it interesting tha t everytime someone has a different perspective on God , they are persicuted just like Jesus was, I guess Christians truly are the Satan, they act in the comlpete opposite spririt of thier mentor. They act in the most opposite of God themselves. Creating seperatism and disunity, the exact Opposite of God. Religon should be viewed as stepping stones to God’s truth, not the not stone tables written that can never be changed.

I’ve just read the first one and am off to devour the second. Despite the fact that he’s 12, Artemis Fowl is funny, smart, and encompasses all the human failings an adult story should. I especially enjoyed Butler, with his obsessive need to protect his charge and his wickedly effective and funny ways of doing it. Juliet, his sister, annoyed me but added to the overall effect of the Fowl household.
Holly Short, the fairy LEP officer kidnapped by Artemis, was far from the all-knowing fairy folk we’re used to, and in fact this story makes consistent fun of many of the old tales. Makes fun of and expands on their stories, actually, producing a new world to enjoy.
The supporting cast is generally well-rounded, if a bit stereotyped and I hope Mr. Colfer will expand on each of them. All in all, very enjoyable and I look forward to the rest of the series.
