The beaters are good on wall to wall carpeting, but I find it extremely loud. The beaters rotate constantly, making it almost seem self-propelled, which makes it easy to push on carpeting. However, I worry what that would do to the finish on wooden floors. The brush adjustment height seems to do nothing.
