ECONOMICAL:
This is an inexpensive vacuum that gets the job done. It does not have all the bells and whistles, which for me means less that can break down. I had been looking for a decent vacuum that wasn’t over priced. Consumer Reports had done vacuum reviews and placed this among the better upright vacuums you can buy. I was really looking for something with power and the ability take care of cat hair. I decided to purchase this and I got what I paid for and more. The vacuum indeed has the power and ability to get up animal hair with ease. I vacuumed every room and then looked in the bag. It picked up so much particulate and animal hair, big improvement over the more expensive vacuum cleaner I once had. Ya, it doesn’t have a bag indicator or a head light, but my old vacuum had those and I never used them(indicator accuracy was questionable). The vacuum is light weight and easy to push (big help for my back). It has a secondary and final filter, both helpful in keeping the motor safe and returning clean air into the room.

BELT WORRIES:
My big worry when buying this was the complaints about the belt breaking. No such occurrences for me. I have used this vacuum extensively, no belt damage has occurred. Huge tip for those with this problem or those who are wanting to buy this vacuum –The height adjustment on the vacuum is there for a reason. Do not put it on the bare floor setting and vacuum a shag carpet. You will destroy the belt and cause premature wear on the motor and/or other components. In my case, I adjusted the brush height so that the vacuum just barely crawls when on and the brush is lowered. This lets you know it is loosening up the dirt and not trying to dig a hole in the carpet. If the vacuum is pulling you along, this is an indicator that the brush is too low. Also, try not to run over clothes or the edges of throw rugs for this can also cause belt damage or breakage. Simply put, adjust the agitator brush to the height that the job requires.

I am new in the dslr photograpy and i chosen the next bundle to star my “new photo life”

Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens (Black)
Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM SLR Lens for EOS Digital SLRs
Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Standard & Medium Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras
Canon EH19-L Semi-Hard Case for Canon Rebel XS, XSi & T1i Digital SLR Camera with 2 LP-E5 Battery Packs + Charger + Accessory Kit

After using the 50mm lenses i realized that the kit lenses(EF-S 18-55mm) were not the best around, as many reviews has mentioned the 50mm f1.4 has great image quality and is a must for portrait pics, but maybe in my 1.6x crop sensor the area that can capture is quite small, and make them a difficult choice for photos inside small places, no to take the whole family, thats impossible, but to take a xMas tree and your little child playing near it, don’t get me wrong, it takes great photos thats why i gave 5 start, but i feel that you need to get far enough for three faces in the frame, thats the point for my review.

So I returned and instead i bought the cheaper one (50mm f 1.8) I don’t use it a lot, so is a fair price and I hope the lenses survive, because is really a cheaper made. I switch it with the 10-22mm and the kit lenses, and whenever i can i use it, the f1.8 also provide great quality photos.

Nice lens. I haven’t had the opportunity to use the lens as much as I would like so far. But the one time I did put Canon EF 50mm f1.8 to the test so far, it performed beautifully and as advertised. I know i will make great use of this lens as I use it more.

very good sharpness but no built quality. this lens with no canon markings on it would make you think that it isn’t, but it has Canon’s name on it.

Mine is made in Malaysia, the body is plastic, the focusing ring is very small and AF makes a lot of noise, not good for weddings in the church.

For students and people who want to learn photography, this might be a good lens for you since its sharpness is just great, but if you’re willing to spend more for the 1.4 or 1.2 F lenses, they offer more quality but for more money as well.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Mark I metal mount EOS is not available anymore, this one has the metal mount and a range indicator too that came with the Canon’s 1 series.

Try looking around, this might also be a good lens for you if you happen to find one.

All I gotta say is WOW. This is the best bang for your buck period. This low priced lens should be in every portrait photographers collection. This bad boy is fast and takes beautifull , professional looking pictures. The only thing I dont like about this lens is that its made out of plastic. But since it seems like its built to last , Im not worried about it. Great lens. Great price.

Best bank for the buck!. Clearly the best buy of all Nikon lenses. You have to work abit more in doors due to its length, a 30mm is preferable here, but what the heck for $100 you simple cannot beat the this lens optically.

It’s my favorite lens. I am a low budget shooter who only shoots occasionally for hobby.

I use this lens mostly for low light situations and portraits.

It’s not as long as I would like for portraits, but Nikon 50mm f1.8 is good enough for hobby.

The bokeh is nice to have and 1.8 aperture is so amazing when paired with 1600 ISO.

Should be owned by every Nikon user. This lens is superb. It’s a knockout low light performer, produces vivid colors, and is super contrasty. It’s contrast is so high I often have to tone it down if a picture is taken in very low light. Where almost all zooms fail in low light, this guy excels. Utilizing it’s extremely shallow depth of field can create some very dramatic pictures. This lens reveals pictures that are impossible on 95% of zoom lenses available. Sharpness rendered is breathtaking.

I’m not saying anything new I’m sure. This coupled with the 35 f2 is an exceptional duo. Mid range zooms are fine, but the precision and picture quality produced by top notch prime lenses is the way to go. The beauty of primes in this digital age is the ability to post process. If your 50 didn’t give you the reach you wanted, zoom later on your computer.

Also, don’t put a $5 filter in front of this thing. Spring for BW’s or Nikon’s filter. This lens performs as well as lenses costing 10 times as much.
