got the kindle and once unwrapped, it was ready to use. I order my first book and in a matter of seconds I was reading. I even took my kindle camping where there was NO reception and I was still able to order a new reading selection. It took about a minute to arrived verses the seconds with reception, but I was not complaining. The only suggestion I would make is they should be waterproof.
