Monkey Space Gray Flannel change
This is a great pedometer. In the first couple days, I tried to see how accurately it tracked my steps – I am completely pleased. I don’t believe that it really over or underestimates how many steps I take. I love that it can calibrate for me to include distance travelled and if I’ve had any moments of aerobic walking and how long those were. I really like the 7 day history as well so that I can go back and put in my steps for days that I forget to log. Excellent device! I really hope it holds up!

Wow! 3 G2270M Gitzo Magnesium
I think this book is a classic for a reason. Most people might be able to identify with the overall them of confusion, rebellion, loneliness and angst. The writing style is very whimsical and different from most YA books. With all the slang thrown it, it kind of dates itself; however it forms a good idea of how people talked back then.
I’m not a big fan of Holden. He calls other people “phonies” while he doesn’t realize that he himself is a phony. His attitude and characterization doesn’t change at all at the end of the novel; in fact he just whines about problems and runs away from them instead of taking action. I don’t think this could count as a true coming of age novel as the character didn’t really grow from the experience.

This must be by far the worst book I ever laid hands on! I took so much effort to finish this book, when I just wanted to toss it in the fire. The characters are absolutely depthless, and the relationship between Edward and Bella is appalling. I do not know why Stephanie Meyer, being a woman would create such a weak, whiny, insecure and utterly dependent lead female character. And on top of that she created a psychotic/stalker boyfriend for Bella. I do not know about you, but this doesn’t look like the healthiest of relationships to me. The dialogue of this book makes me want to shoot someone. If all the “I love you/I cannot live without you” nonsense was taken off, I bet there wouldn’t be a book. Anyway, do not waste your money on this ghastly piece of literature (What has happened to literature nowadays??)

Say hi to Smart Lite Tripp SU750RTXL2U
This book should be a disgrace to Evangelical Christians. Wouldn’t hurt for others to be offended also. It is so unBiblical in it’s answers.
Shame on Oprah.

Pirastro Evah 4 Pirazzi line
A little hard to get used to using, but you can change the settings and make it look quite a bit like the old products in this suite. I like it a lot. Very nice and worth the $$, especially since I’ll get 2010 free!

I tested this in two different vehicles over 4 or 5 days and it didn’t budge in either vehicle. Good marks for stability. If you’ve only used suction cup windshield mounts before with a GPS this product puts the GPS a lot closer to you, so you won’t need to lean forward. Also, since it doesn’t use a suction cup anywhere in the design of the product, this product will never drop your GPS on a hot day!
I wasn’t thrilled with the cost, it seems a touch high for a beanbag and a plastic arm, but now I see that the arm mates to an adjustable pivot in the base and it is pretty well engineered.
Overall, this one is a keeper!
UPDATE:
After using this mount on my dash for a couple of weeks I decided the dash needed dusting. Once I cleaned off the dust I noticed that the mount had left a slight “stain” type mark on the dash. The color of the dash where the mount was had darkened enough to tell where the mount had been placed. I suspect plasticizers in the soft material on the bottom of the mount are migrating. I’ll be VERY careful about leaving the mount on my dash for long periods of time!

Today about Madeline Doll Tea Party
It took me a while to warm up to reading this book. I didn’t have high expectations, but decided to given in to the hype hoping I would be mildly entertained, it’s a teenage book how bad can it be? WOW! I am concerned for my teenage nieces now. There are so many bad messages being sent to teenager in this novel, I really think the writter should have taken her time to consider her target. First, Edward is NOT a teen, he may look like one, but he is over 100 years old!!! and should not be anywhere near teenage girls!!! That is NOT LOVE! and I don’t want teenage girls to think it’s acceptable in any form. Second, Bella- don’t know where to begin with this girl, the other reviews said it best, whinning, martyr, hormonal, irrational, etc. NO girl should have such an unhealthy fixation on a man, she is very selfish, she wants everything her way or she will do anything to get it regardless of what pain it may cause her family, Edward, Jacob whom she claims to love so much. I don’t think she is as much a doormat to Edward as Edward is to her. He gives in to her demands like the parent of a spoil brat. The writer’s attempt to give her enough guilt, concern for her parents and friends are so weak, just made her more annoying. Jacob, could have been a very good character, I could have rooted for him, but again, the writter made him into another selfish, manipulative bully. Jacob wants to force his kind of love on Bella, she loves him as a friend, but he is determined to have more, no matter how many times she tells him “no” to the point of kissing her against her will, forcefully, she hurt her hand trying to stop him (this part is really disturbing to me, it’s a symptom of a larger problem in real life)and her father’s reaction to it is very “boys locker room”. Jacob again gets to kiss her by emotionally black mailing her with the old “if you won’t be with me, I will let myself be killed”. I had “Jacob” type of friends in my life and is not romantic at all. Surviving Obliqueness Through Language and me
I remember reading “Catcher In The Rye” in a high school literature class. I was always awed by the story of Holden Caufield…literature’s most famous juvenile delinquent. And reading it is the only way you can appreciate the late JD Salinger’s work, since he NEVER will allow his books to be made into movies…even posthumously.

What people think about MARK2 Davis Sanford Tripod
I used my SteamVac for the first time last night and I was THRILLED with it. I’ve never used an upright like this before so it was awesome to watch the brown gunk flow into the tank. If I’d been watching an info-mercial, I would have thought it was fake, BUT NO! It was 100% gunk being removed from my carpet that appeared clean.
I used the machine for about 20 minutes and just to test it, I touched the carpet and it as nearly dry. I’m seriously in love with this thing! I was tempted to get the puppies dirty just so I could clean the carpet again.
I would recommend this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I started reading ‘Artemis Fowl’ I didn’t know what to expect. I had just heard it was a popular series with tweens and young teens, but had heard little beyond that. At first I wasn’t too impressed, I found all the LEPrecon stuff a little too cute. But once Artemis sets his scheme in motion with the kidnapping of Holly, the book really picks up steam. In essence, ‘Artemis Fowl’ is a very good heist story, but one with fairies, trolls, dwarfs and 12 year old criminal masterminds. A lot of fun.
