Virtually everything that needs to be said about this great gadget has been posted here and other locations on the Internet, so I won’t go into why I found the iTouch such a sensational “everything device.”

What I will do here is to give some practical advice on how to arrive at which iTouch to purchase…whether you should opt for the 8GB, 32GB, or 64GB in addition to which generation you should consider…the 2nd generation or third generation. Ready? Here we go.

Is the iTouch Right for You?

I was struggling quite a bit between the 8GB model and the 32GB model. These devices are truly wonderful but the price point is high enough to make you blink a little and wonder if they are worth buying. The answer to this question can be answered by asking yourself these questions. Do you like to play lots of games? Do you like to view YouTube videos? Do you have a reasonable amount of MP3s? Do you like to read online? And lastly, are you just a gadget sort of a guy or girl?

If you can answer yes to all of the above, most likely you are a prime candidate for an iTouch. If you are just a music lover and don’t really do much of the other things listed, you probably should bypass the iTouch and opt for a bigger capacity MP3 player.

The Models

Ok, the next question on the mind of potential iTouch buyers is “which model should I buy?” This becomes a little more complicated because there are differences between the 8GB model and the 32 and 64GB model besides capacity. Let’s break this down into easy to understand bits:

* The 8GB 2nd Generation Model is the SAME as the 8GB 3rd Generation model iTouch. The exception is that the 3rd Gen model gives you an upgrade in firmware.

* The 32/64GB models are the only ones that have an upgraded processor, graphics, and the speaker-mic headset.

i recently bought a ipod touch 3g updated it when there were updates, never dropped it, didn’t mess with the firmware. However, one day i plug it into my macbook and it wouldn’t show up in itunes. Now i can’t sync i cant do anything. Otherwise i was very happy with it. Watching movies, playing games, and listening to music is great up until i couldn’t change anything like get new movies and music. My old 1generation black nano connects fine so i don’t know what the problem is but hopefully apple will fix it for me.

Pom Pom Head Bopper

I like this card. Not too expensive for the capacity (I paid less than $22) and the transfer speed seems okay (packaging rates it at 16MB/s). I bought it to add some music to my Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS and it works great for that after a one-day test. Some cards claim much faster transfer rates, so I gave it 4 stars. It took me several minutes to load a bit over 1 Gig of MP3s using the card slot in my notebook. I don’t really have anything to compare that to, so you be the judge. The Garmin accepted everything without any format hassles–it just worked. The packaging was a joy, came in a little reusable plastic case suitable for storage when not in the device. Recommended.
2008 Tax Facts on

It’s great to finally have a scale that looks cool, doesn’t have to be tapped first, and is accurate. However, the display has a blue backlight that totally takes over and makes the black number unreadable if I am looking from above. See Customer Image #4, the one showing my feet on the scale. To read it, I have to either step off the scale (and hope that the display stays on a while longer) or stand on the scale backwards, look between my legs, and read an upside-down number.

Edit: It was due to weak batteries. The batteries that ship with this scale do not last very long.

have one and bought another as a gift. It’s great! I just put in glove box and can’t tell I have gps. (ring on windshield no more. that’s how robbers tell you have a gps)

I like this so much that I’m really enjoying cleaning again. This really does the job, got turned on to this from a column by Mary Hart, something to the effect of “best purchases I made”. I find this simple to use, instructions were easy to follow and the suction makes for quick drying. I’ve cleaned carpets and upholstery and am happy with both especially because I have a dog, which I love to hate, that has a poor track record. And, the price for what I got, it’s a bargain! The last time I had carpets cleaned I paid around 500.00 and prior to that I’d been renting machines. This will pay for itself in the first year. Take care to follow instructions and clean up the machine afterwards. (Sounds like advice that Mom would’ve given!)

Casio Men s Watch

This flash memory card is a very good product. Class 6 is the newest/best type of Flash Memory available (as of 2009). It holds over 3500 images on my Cannon SD 790IS camera (10 mega pixels), or nearly 5 hours of video on high resolution.

Transferring the images to my HP Desktop was very fast and easy with no loss of data.

PROS: lots of storage, even at high resolution on my camera I can take hours of video or thousands of pictures.

value. many people feel that they cannot trust an “off-brand” product. For example, if they have a Sony camera they must have a Sony memory card, even if it is twice the price. Even though this product is not a Sony/HP make, it does a fantastic job for less $$.

CONS: there really aren’t any, maybe price? 8 GB is a lot more than most people need but the price on AMAZON.COM was cheaper than 4 GB offerings at most other stores.

OVERALL: I would definately recommend this product to anyone.
